The DICTA 2008 paper submission and review process is as follows:
Papers may be no longer than 8 pages and shorter than 6, including all text, figures, and references. The 8 page limit will be strictly enforced. It is a condition of publication that accepted papers are presented by one of the authors. Presenters for accepted papers must register before the early registration deadline to avoid withdrawal from the conference proceedings and programme. Non-student registrations may cover up to three (3) papers if and only if the presenter is the same for every of the named papers at registration time.
Proceedings will be published by IEEE-CS on CDROM and must conform strictly to layouts specified by the publisher. Specifications for layout, instructions and style files (templates) are available at the CPS website. Click on "formatting instructions" in STEP 4 for instructions and style files and choose information for 8.5" x 11" Two-Column Format.
Once submitted, the paper title and authors should not be changed. Any changes after submission have to be endorsed by the Organising Committee and any enquiries on this matter addressed to the General Chair. This will be strictly enforced and non-compliance may result in withdrawal from the conference proceedings and programme.
Final papers must be submitted to the publisher's website. Instructions will accompany notification of acceptance. Please note that the date for final submission is Friday 12 September 2008.
Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length. The talk should be 15 to 17 minutes leaving 3 to 5 minutes for questions. Posters will be displayed at sessions scheduled for this purpose and must be no more than 1 meter wide and 1.2 meter high.
